1. BE PROMPT: We plan to have everyone signed-in well before the stated 8:00am registration close time. Arrive early. Aim to be there at 7:00am.
2. BE PREPARED: Have your entry packet downloaded and completely filled out prior to that day. Have your proof of USJF, USJA, or USJI membership ready to show.
3. BE READY: We will bow-in promptly at 8:00am. That means, be dressed and ready to line-up before then.
4. BE RESPECTFUL: Everyone must be officially registered. Spectator seating is $50 for the event. Random walk-ins will not be permitted (and really not cool).
Thank you for following these guidelines and showing respect for this seminar, Iliadis Sensei, and the art of Judo.
Welcome to Portland Judo. We are a nationally sanctioned Judo facility in the beautiful state of Oregon. We are open 7 days a week and offer 20 Judo classes. The club is conveniently located in Northwest Portland just off the 405 freeway at 2335 NW 23rd Place. We have our own parking lot in front and also tons of free parking throughout the area. We take great pride in keeping our training environment safe, friendly and most importantly… very clean!
Even if you have never practiced a martial art or participated in any sport for that matter, we warmly welcome you. We can get you started with basic stretching and strength training until you feel ready to try something new. The next step could be something as simple as learning how to safely fall and the right way to stand up.
We are a club based on the principle of “Mutual Respect and Benefit”. So, although we love to train hard and compete as a sport, self-discipline and respect for each other always come first. Our goal here at Portland Judo is simple. It is to help you achieve the goals you set for yourself.
Judo is for everyone to enjoy. I look forward to meeting you.
See you soon,
